One of the perks of what I do is meeting some really nice folks in the community. I met such a person in my Lighting for Digital Photographers class recently. After pushing these poor students through every knot hole backwards and making them use that guy that comes off the mountain and brings coffee, that would be Manual for those of you who have not met him, it’s amazing that they want to come back for more.
It’s people who are really interested in taking their camera skills to the next level and are never satisfied with their last exposure, that let me know that what I’m doing counts. Linda O’Neal is cut from the same tree as I am. Looking around the next corner, pressing a new button and going in both feet first. I even might say a bad word once in awhile when I get frustrated. I feel bad as I’m sure that I’m the only one who does this.
There was a small group of us who got together to take on the night. We figured safety in numbers was the way to go while walking the eclectic downtown of Punta Gorda on a Friday night. Of course it didn’t hurt that two members of our group were police officers so we had protection, just in case. It’s nice to know people, I’m just saying! It was a great night as we all went home with some great images and best of all…..no one got arrested! So, sit back and enjoy some of these lovely photographs from an up and coming photographer – Linda ONeill.
Note: The photographer didn’t assign photo names, so I will be adding location names to them.
If you are looking for some great photographs, don’t put your camera away when the sun goes down. There is so much more to photograph in the beauty of darkness.
Until next time…
