This is just a quick post on a photographic opportunity. If you are a wildlife shooter, this is going to be right up your alley. Not to mention that you will be supporting an organization that helps injured animals, and gets them back to the wild if possible.
I have done a few posts on the Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda, Florida before. They are an amazing organization and help animals get back on their way. I was informed by one of the volunteers that they are starting a new program. They are now going to let photographers INSIDE THE ENCLOSURES. Want photos without that annoying wire in the way? Here’s your chance. This is the link to the post that I did when they let me into the enclosures to get some great shots: Peace River Wildlife Center & Ponce de Leon Park – Punta Gorda, Florida.
Here is the information that I was presented with from the volunteer:
CALLING ALL SHUTTERBUGS!
Peace River Wildlife Center is offering photographers the unique opportunity to photograph native Florida wildlife on display at the center, WITHIN their enclosures. Your $100 donation for one hour will directly benefit PRWC residents on the form of food and medical supplies.
PRWC needs your financial support now, more than ever. No government funding is received; the center relies on public donations!

This is a great opportunity. How often do you get a chance to get within feet of a hawk, eagle or owl? These photos would make a great addition to your portfolio. Tell your friends, relatives and folks you know out of state. When they come to visit, this would make a great stop on their trip and one that they likely won’t forget.
Until next time…
